Join us August 10th, 2-5pm at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts & History for an opening reception for “The Movement: Danville’s Civil Rights Exhibit.”

The exhibit is the first of its kind in the Danville Museum of Fine Arts & History. It will be a permanent exhibit highlighting Danville’s Civil Rights Movement. Historian Historian Emma Edmunds donated the exhibit to the museum after its display during Black History Month, and it has since proven to be the most visited exhibit in the museum’s history. An opening reception will be held on August 10th from 2-5pm to honor Emma Edmunds, Program Historian for our History United program, for her work and research.
