oduhum_mlpinvite_pc_final_email-1-1Mapping Lambert’s Point is an ongoing project co-sponsored by the Institute for the Humanities and the Political Science and Geography Department which collects oral histories of the past and present residents of Old Dominion’s neighboring community, Lambert’s Point. The project embeds the stories into a virtual map accessible online.

We invite you to come to the launch event on September 20, 2016 from 5-6:15 p.m. at the Lambert’s Point Community Center where we will reveal the website and hear remarks from President John Broderick as well as Associate Professor, Dr. Michael Hucles of the History Department. There will also be a poster exhibit on display. Refreshments will be served.

Sponsored in part by a grant from Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.
